Conditions Are Getting Back to Normal

Hector Hoolie

By late evening 13th June, Storm Hector began to cause some disruption to Monty and Telyn.

Thankfully by midnight they were both squatting down, brooding their chicks working as a team. By 04:30 in the morning Monty had caught a huge flounder - how on earth did he catch it?

Winds were gusting to 60mph early morning and Telyn lost her balance more than once.

Thankfully, 24 hours later we're down to just blustery conditions again with all five ospreys intact and doing great following a further two fish during the day. What a team!

Here's the video:

If you've been wondering what the chirping little bird on the Live Streaming is - here's the culprit - a male chaffinch!

And a bold one at that.

And Finally

Fingers crossed for Saturday - we'll get to know whether our funding application to the Heritage Lottery Fund has been successful for our Dyfi Wildlife Centre project.
