How Translocation Project Help Population Recovery
The family tree below shows how important the Rutland Osprey Translocation Project was in helping the recovery of ospreys in Wales. All three of the Dyfi breeding females are descended from a single translocated individual White 03/97. This 'Superosprey' returned to breed for an incredible 15 years. Sadly his breeding attempt in 2015 was unsuccessful and he failed to return in 2016.
